Alicia Acuna is an American journalist and television news correspondent. She is a senior correspondent for Fox News, based in the network’s Denver bureau. Acuna joined Fox News Channel in 1997 and has covered major national stories including natural disasters, political events, public health crises, and school shootings.

Early life and education
Acuna was born in Whittier, California, and was raised in Arizona and California. She is of Mexican-American heritage. She attended Northern Arizona University, where she became involved with the university’s student-run television station, U-TV. During college, she worked in producing, reporting, and directing student news broadcasts.
After graduation, Acuna received a fellowship from the International Radio and Television Society (IRTS), which led to an internship at CBS News in New York City.
Career
Acuna began her journalism career working on the assignment desk at an NBC affiliate in San Diego. She later became a reporter and weekend anchor at KGET-TV in Bakersfield, California, before moving to KSEE-TV in Fresno, California, where she anchored weekday newscasts.
In 1997, Acuna joined Fox News as a correspondent. Based in Denver, she has reported on a variety of major national stories, including the 2013 Moore, Oklahoma tornado, the opioid crisis in the United States, wildfires in the western United States, the Ebola outbreak, and United States election coverage.
She has also frequently appeared as a guest host on Fox News Live and as a rotating panelist on The Big Weekend Show.
In March 2023, Acuna received widespread media attention after becoming emotional on live television while covering a shooting at East High School in Denver, where her son was a student. During the broadcast, she reunited with her son on air after learning he was safe.
